Derby born, childhood/teenager in Kenya, (parents went to East Africa on teaching English U.K gov. contracts),  college education in the U.K and graduate education in France, neither with any exams, and now happily settled on the Wirral, I have worked in social care since my teens (am now fiftyish) in both the private and public sectors, from residential altzheimers, local council and trust care retirement homes, deafblind residential and occupational and more recently seven years with resident home autistic folks.

I have always had a passion for social care and alternative medicines/therapies and went to Liverpool College for the diploma in Reflexology and two years later to the Wirral Met. College for the Additional Reflexology Techniques diploma and the Health and Employment Standards diploma and I also hold the L3 Social Care diploma thanks to inhouse training with AutismTogether. Plenty of diplomas and maybe more to come!

Fluent in French after ten years of married life in Poitou-Charentes; whilst there I worked with the deafblind so have a grasp on basic deafblind sign language. Mostly in various parts of East Africa till I was seventeen, I can get by in Swahili. Recently learning the non-verbal communications of autistic folks, and learning eye-speak...a glance can say a thousand words....

I love all animals great and small, warthogs too, and I like to listen to the stories trees tell.
